EFF’s new song hails ‘Biko as subject of revolutionary nostalgia’

It “juxtaposes the 1976 generation and the Fees Must Fall generation in admiration‚ whilst hailing Steven Biko as the central figure and subject of revolutionary nostalgia”.

That’s how the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) described “a struggle song” it released on YouTube “in marking the 40th Anniversary of June 16”.

“With this song‚ we remember the 1976 generation and sing about it to keep their memory as part of the ways in which the struggle for the total emancipation of our people is being conducted today‚” the party said.

The song can be found on the EFF’s YouTube channel:

The party has issued a number of songs on its YouTube channel this year‚ including one that puts its well-known “Zuma Must Fall” chant to music.
