Minister Masutha can appeal parole application by Janusz Walus

The Supreme Court of Appeal has granted Justice Minister Michael Masutha leave to appeal in the parole application of Janusz Walus‚ the murderer of popular liberation fighter Chris Hani. In March‚ the Pretoria High Court ordered that Walus be released within 14 days. The Supreme Court of Appeal’s order means that he will remain behind bars at least until it has heard and decided the case.
