Government’s attitude to justice questionable - Southern Africa legal centre

The Southern Africa Litigation Centre (SALC) has added its voice to a growing list of rights and legal organisation that have condemned South Africa’s plan to withdraw from the International Criminal Court (ICC). The government’s decision “affects South Africa's domestic capabilities to try genocide‚ war crimes and crimes against humanity as they continue to dismantle the legislative framework (namely the ICC Act) that allows for domestic prosecutions‚” the centre said.
