Cape Town roads blocked‚ backed up due to Zuma Must Fall protests
Zuma Must Fall protests caused several major Cape Town roads to be blocked off by trucks on Friday morning‚ including Liesbeek Park‚ N7‚ N5‚ and Bosmansdam.
Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa confirmed: “The N7 is definitely blocked and traffic from the airport is moving at 1Km per hour.”

Mayoral committee member for safety and security‚ JP Smith‚ also said: “There were at least four roadblocks this morning involving large trucks that we are still working on clearing. We’ve been able to clear the N5‚ as the roadblock involved smaller vehicles.”

By ten o’clock‚ the city’s Department of Transport and Public Works stated: “We’ve managed to clear all of the routes and all roads are now open”.
