President Cyril Ramaphosa will be answering questions in the national assembly on Tuesday on the VBS Bank scandal, crime and the economy.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane has asked the president when he first became aware of the alleged involvement of executives in the  looting at VBS Mutual Bank and what action he took.  

Ramaphosa will answer questions on SA's objectives for its forthcoming term on the United Nations Security Council and the plans to revitalise the economy through the partnerships entered into with China. The president will also address government’s strategy to combat taxi and gang violence, cash-in-transit heists, car robberies, vandalism during community protests and other crimes.

Meanwhile Deputy President David Mabuza will be answering questions in the National Council of Provinces (NCOP). Mabuza will answer questions on violence in schools, the unemployment rate and the possible taxation of churches.
