President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce his cabinet reshuffle on Thursday afternoon, November 22 2018.
President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce his cabinet reshuffle on Thursday afternoon, November 22 2018.

The ANC on Thursday postponed its planned press conference on the Zondo state capture commission due to President Cyril Ramaphosa's cabinet reshuffle.

The party was due to address the media following public enterprises minister Pravin Gordhan's testimony over three days this week.

In a statement on Thursday, the party said it postponed its conference due to today's political developments.

Ramaphosa announced that he would be making changes to his cabinet and would make an official announcement this afternoon.

His reshuffle comes after the resignation of home affairs minister Malusi Gigaba left two vacancies in his cabinet.

"The postponement is due to other political developments primarily the expected announcement on cabinet reshuffle," said ANC spokesperson, Pule Mabe.

Mabe said the party would only hold its press briefing on the Zondo commission on Friday.
