Malusi Gigaba back on Instagram, posts snaps of cleaning drains and handing out sanitary pads
Just less than two weeks after resigning as home affairs minister and remaining mum on social media, Malusi Gigaba has posted a series of pictures of himself out and about on door-to-door campaigns for the governing party.
In his resignation letter Gigaba said he made the decision to relieve President Cyril Ramaphosa from "undue pressure" so that the president could "focus on improving the lives of South Africans".
In the weeks leading up to his decision, Gigaba faced mounting pressure over his handling of the Oppenheimer-owned Fireblade Aviation private terminal at OR Tambo International Airport.
A sex tape, which Gigaba claimed was meant for his wife, was also leaked online and went viral.

After weeks of silence on social media, Gigaba posted a series of images of himself on his Instagram account at the weekend. From cleaning storm water drains to distributing sanitary pads in Limpopo, Gigaba captioned the snaps with Ramaphosa's catchphrase #ThumaMina.
Here are just some of the pictures of Gigaba in action.
