Trevor Noah tops Twitter trends after chirping with President Ramaphosa

Tweeps could not contain their excitement at the sight of The Daily Show's host Trevor Noah in parliament on Thursday.

Noah, who was the special guest during President Cyril Ramaphosa's question and answer session, received a warm welcome by politicians.

A video which was posted on the presidency's Twitter account showed Trevor Noah and the president as they greeted each other and shared a laugh.

During and after his appearance, people took to Twitter to share their thoughts using #TrevorNoah, which eventually saw the comedian top the trends.

Some made fun of how starstruck the president was, while some said they were proud to see Noah.
