Populism has SA in its grip left, right and centre

A global poll suggests political populism is on the rise in SA, but local experts say it is not as simple as that.  

They were responding to a global survey of 25,000 people in 19 countries, which revealed that of the South Africans polled, 39% held populist political views, with Brazil leading the rankings at 42%.
