Image: ESA ALEXANDER President Cyril Ramaphosa has reassured concerned South Africans that the government has no plans of nationalising the Reserve Bank.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured citizens and investors that his government has no intention to tamper with the mandate of the SA Reserve Bank (Sarb).
In a statement issued on behalf of the ANC’s powerful top six, Ramaphosa said there were no immediate plans to nationalise the central bank.
This follows a public outcry over remarks about expanding the bank's mandate.
