President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address South Africans at 7pm on Wednesday.
It is expected he will tell the nation that he is moving the country to level 1 of the Covid-19 lockdown.
The address follows the presidential co-ordinating council meeting on Tuesday and the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
