The memorial service for Cope leader Mosiuoa Lekota is being held at Regina Mundi, south of Johannesburg, on Wednesday.
Lekota died on Wednesday last week. He was 77.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared that the late former minister of defence will be honoured with a special official funeral on Saturday.
