Paralympic swim star Natalie du Toit grabbed South Africa's second gold medal in as many days at the IPC world swimming championships in Eindhoven, Netherlands, on Monday, winning the 200m individual medley in 2min 32.31sec (S9 category).

She also took bronze in the 100m breaststroke - not her premier event - clocking 1:25.95 for a national record.

So far Du Toit has won all of SA's medals at the gala, having also taken the 100m butterfly title in 1:08.30 on the opening day on Sunday.

She was one of four South Africans involved in finals on Monday, according to a statement from the SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc).

Best of the rest was Port Elizabeth's Kevin Paul who took fourth in the 200m IM final (S10) with a 2:15.61 national record.

Other SA finalists were Renette Bloem (7th in the 100m breaststroke, S11 category) and Hendri Herbst (8th in the 100m breaststroke, S12 category).
