Former Wits striker Calvin Kadi continued his excellent scoring form in Greece at the weekend when he netted his 10th goal of the season in a 2-0 win for Veria at Anagennisi Epanomis.

The 24-year-old has now netted six goals in his past six games, helping his side to second place on the table, a point behind leaders Panthrakikos, with a game in hand.

Should they remain there to the season's end, Veria, and possibly Kadi, will be playing top-flight football next season against the likes of Greek giants Panathinaikos and Olympiakos.

It hasn't been such a good season for former Platinum Stars striker Bradley Grobler, who is with Goztepe in the Turkish second division.

He has now managed only four goals in 24 games after Sunday's 3-0 defeat at Elazigspor, which left the side languishing in 13th place in the 18-team league.

Bafana Bafana left back Tsepo Masilela made a welcome return to the bench for Spanish La Liga side Getafe on Sunday.

Masilela has not played for his club side for two months after being forced to play the first half of Bafana's meaningless friendly with Senegal in February against the wishes of his club, and when he was clearly not fully fit.

Young right back Waseem Isaacs played for Slovakian second-tier side Zemplin Michalovce when they beat FK LAFC Lucenec 4-0.
