Banned sprinter Magakwe’s counsel ‘didn’t pay appeal filing fee’

Sprinter Simon Magakwe’s hope of appealing his two-year doping ban is over‚ according to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland. Magakwe‚ the only South African to have run the 100m in under 10 seconds‚ was suspended in early February after refusing to submit to an out-of-competition doping test in December.
