Boxer dies after first-round knockout

An Eastern Cape boxer has died in hospital after being knocked out in the ring at the weekend. Mzwanele Kompolo‚ from Dimbaza in King Williams Town‚ died yesterday (15 September 2015) at Frere Hospital in the Eastern Cape after taking part in the sanctioned fight‚ Sport and Recreation SA and Boxing South Africa announced in a statement today.
