SA Rugby insists it can’t “just suspend” Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth despite its decision to institute an internal probe into allegations of assault and racial abuse.

Meanwhile, in Japan, as the Boks’ prepare for their crunch Rugby World Cup clash with Italy, captain Siya Kolisi seemed unprepared when quizzed about Etzebeth.
