'Tower' Mathoho withdrawn from Swaziland match

Bafana Bafana defender Erick Mathoho will miss Wednesday evening’s friendly match against Swaziland.

The Kaizer Chiefs centre-back will, however, be available for Sunday's match against Nigeria at Mbombela Stadium.

Shakes Mashaba’s side is also without injured pair Anele Ngcongca and May Mahlangu, while Dean Furman has been excused from international duty at the request of his League One club Doncaster Rovers.

Bafana are on their way to Swaziland for an international friendly match against the host nation which will take place on Wednesday, 25 March at the Somhlolo Stadium.

Kick-off is at 19h00.

Meanwhile, the overseas-based trio of Kamohelo Mokotjo and Thulani Serero, both playing in Holland and Denmark-based Lebogang Phiri are travelling with the squad following their arrival in camp on Monday.

Head coach Shakes will have 26 players to choose from for the match against Sihlangu se Mnikati (Swaziland).

Dean Furman (club commitment), Anele Ngcongca (injured) and May Mahlangu (injured) were on Monday released from the squad.
