Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese’s assault case has been postponed to July at the Pretoria Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Lebese stands accused of assaulting his girlfriend and causing and malicious damage to her property following an incident at a Mamelodi nightclub in February.

A calm looking Lebese who supported his family, made his sixth appearance in the Pretoria Magistrates Court, EWN reported on Wednesday without giving the exact date of his next court appearance.

He was arrested in February and released on R1,000 bail after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.

Lebese's lawyer requested that the midfielder return to court in two months to allow for further investigations.
