Negotiations around the loan or sale of several of Mamelodi Sundowns’ fringe players are continuing with various Premier Soccer League clubs‚ but with a month left of the transfer window there has been little sign of the promised clear-out. Sundowns officials have been talking in recent weeks about trimming down an expansive list of players on their books but with the start of the new season now just days away the expected exodus has yet to start in earnest.Musa Nyatama has been sold to Bloemfontein Celtic for a bargain basement R3-million‚ Punch Masenamela has gone to Polokwane City while striker Bongi Ntuli has been loaned to Platinum Stars for the coming season.Talks over a move by central defender Kwanda Mngonyama to Maritzburg United or SuperSport United are continuing‚ according to officials‚ and Ajax Cape Town are concluding a deal to take fullback Rheece Evans‚ who hardly played last season at Sundowns. The Cape Town club were also in discussions about the possibility of taking over one of the two centre backs‚ Wayne Arendse or Mario Booysen‚ as well as the injury-plagued Nigerian international Ejike Uzoenyi‚ who has not made a breakthrough since arriving after last year’s World Cup.Maritzburg have Siyabulela Shai on trial. He was on loan from Sundowns to Chippa United last week.A bid by Polokwane City to loan Rodney Ramagalela for the season was turned down. But what will happen to the likes of Hamza Hamidu‚ Hichani Himonde‚ Sibusiso Khumalo‚ Abel Mabaso‚ Tiyani Mabunda‚ Lindokuhle Mbatha‚ Lebogang Mokoena‚ Bryce Moon‚ Mukuka Mulenga‚ Luyolo Nomandela and Thami Sangweni is still unclear as several clubs admit they are talking to Sundowns but without any real progress just yet. – The Times..
