Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo has been ruled out for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup final second-leg clash against Etoile Du Sahel after picking a second caution in their first-leg encounter last week.

The Buccaneers will be looking to break their 19-year cup drought in the continental campaign when they face the Red Devils of Tunisia at the Stade Olympic De Sousse on Sunday.

Heading to this encounter, the two sides played to a 1-1 draw at Orlando Stadium last week which means that the Soweto giants have to score in Sousse to keep their title hopes alive.

The Buccaneers will be relying on past experiences as they have managed to find the back of the net in each of their away games in the 10-month long tournament.

A win would make them the first and only team to win all CAF competitions in the Southern hemisphere.

Ntshumayelo’s absence means that either the Senegalese international Issa Sarr or Lehlohonolo Masalesa would start in the heart of the Pirates midfield.

Kick-off for this clash is scheduled for 16:00 (SA Time).
