Steve Komphela may name an unchanged line-up for the first time this season when Kaizer Chiefs travel to the James Motlatsi Stadium in Orkney to take on winless Free State Stars in their next match on Wednesday. Chiefs recorded their first back-to-back wins in the Absa Premiership this season with an unconvincing 2-0 win over Maritzburg United at FNB Stadium on Saturday night after their midweek 1-0 away win at Highlands Park in Tembisa.That win was achieved with a fifth different starting line-up in as many games - a pattern that is associated with a coach that is struggling to settle on a regular formula.Despite the win‚ the feeling that something is not quite right and the uncertainty over how Komphela wants his team to play lingers.The inconsistency in team selection could be construed as proof that Komphela is struggling to settle on a regular line-up‚ thus affecting the team's rhythm and combinations‚ but the Chiefs coach doesn't think so.“Not really‚ not really. I think I must be more specific in response lest it is dragged otherwise. Today (Saturday) we only had (Michelle) Katsvairo and Jabu (Manqele) had to start on the bench‚ which I thought in our previous matches Katsvairo was giving us a sign that you know what‚ could I have an opportunity (to start)‚ and we obliged and I think it's only fair. And we've spoken to both players and Jabu understands as well. He went in as a sub and showed great promise‚” said Komphela.“But what was more important was the three points. You keep marching on‚ you are going to get more confident (with each win) and you will play with more fluidity and you are going to be a little bit stress free because of how you do things because you think better when you are not under any pressure.“But you cannot say the first starting team of eleven is the team that will take you up because we have a team of about 30 players but we are delighted that currently we have played more of a team that will be consistent because when you have a more consistent selection‚ chances are you are going to have more cohesion and chemistry‚ which will give you a result.”Chiefs will aim to make it three-out-three when they travel to the James Motlatsi Stadium in Orkney on Wednesday to face Free State Stars.TMG Digital..
