Mamelodi Sundowns mentor Pitso Mosimane believes that Cape Town City counterpart Benni McCarthy is a future Bafana Bafana coach.

Mosimane lavished the City coach with praise ahead of a crucial league match between the two sides that could propel the third-placed Brazilians to the summit of the Absa Premiership at Loftus on Wednesday.

“Cape Town City are a good team. Benni shows that he wants it‚ he puts his skin on it.

"Benni wants it and I see him as a future Bafana coach‚” said Mosimane.

Mosimane said he expects a difficult outing against the fourth-placed City who should also fancy themselves as league title dark horses.

“The game against City is going to be hard‚" he said.

“We are all having the same challenge. It’s a race and we should not be emotional about it.

"It’s like a race of Liverpool and Man City… it goes like this and goes the other way.

“You got to keep calm‚ you got to keep cool. It’s a long way to go. So I don’t think it’s a two way race‚ City is popping up. So probably we can cancel each other along the way.”
