In the 98th episode of the Arena Sports Show, presenter Clauiee Grace Mpanza and regular guests Mahlatse Mphahlele and Sizwe Mabena are joined by former Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile “AJ” Jali.
The interview starts with Jali previewing the Nedbank Cup semifinals, which see Durban Stars host Casric Stars at Chatsworth Stadium in Durban on Saturday and Milford FC travel to TS Galaxy at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga on Sunday.
Jali — who also played for University of Pretoria (Tuks), Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United — spoke about how he has been impressed by the revival of Brazilians and Bafana midfielder Jayden Adams.
Jali said he is happy with how he left the game and is enjoying retirement, where he is now involved with farming, and his hobby of biking.
He also spoke about his famous midfield partnership with Oupa Manyisa at Pirates, and the influence of Downs’ creative star Themba Zwane on his career.
