A car collection with a difference is being auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in Germany next month.
The winning bidder will acquire six GT-series Porsche 911s and a 2019 Man TGX 18.640 transport truck, to be sold as one lot.
To a Porsche enthusiast with a penchant for track days, it is a dream collection. With rear-wheel drive and a high-revving normally aspirated engine, the 911 GT3 is the most desired Porsche among purists for its hair-raising shriek and involving drive.
All six cars are 991-generation models and consist of some of the best modern 911s built, namely a GT3 Touring, 911 R, GT3, GT3 RS, GT3 Cup and a GT3 Cup R.
RM Sotheby’s says it is a unique opportunity to acquire the best 991-generation 911s in a single purchase, and all six cars are either new or have very low mileage. The collection is the brainchild of an enthusiast who was inspired to have all the best sports cars to play with, and a truck to transport them wherever he’d like.
The highlight of the race-ready collection is the charcoal 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup R, an FIA-homologated race car designed to compete in Group GT3 racing series. Equipped with a roll cage, it has never been driven on track and is as-new. It is powered by a 4.0l flat-six engine with 404kW and Porsche sequential six-speed gearbox with an electronic shift actuator.
The white 911 GT3 Cup racer, wielding 375kW, is also in brand-new condition with the protective film and tape still intact. The silver 911 R is another track-focused variant with 367kW. It is in as-new condition with less than 50km on the odometer.
The yellow GT3 RS is equipped with a Weissach package with numerous carbon fibre parts, and a Clubsport package with a roll cage and racing harnesses.
The red GT3 is equipped with the Clubsport package, carbon ceramic brakes, roll cage and 918-style bucket seats trimmed in alcantara. It has been driven less than 50km from new.
The black GT3 Touring has less than 20km on the odometer and is fitted with carbon ceramic brakes, extended leather for the interior, and full leather interior with 918 Spyder-style bucket seats.
The sealed online auction takes place from April 28-30.
