Billion Group and Rebosis Property Fund owner Dr Sisa Michael Ngebulana and his wife, Ayanda Ngebulana, have again tied the knot at a glamorous white wedding in France.
The lavish celebration took place on Thursday at Château de Challain-la-Potherie and was attended by friends, business associates and elite society — some of whom headed overseas a few days ahead of time “to get a taste of France before the big celebrations”, according to a close friend.
But the event itself was a fantasy event that started on May 28 and included tours, trips and a string of celebratory events that feature only in the lives of the rich and famous.
The 56-year-old property mogul and his Pietermaritzburg-born sweetheart were married at a traditional wedding in 2019. The influential people who reportedly attended that event included Minnie Dlamini and ex-husband Quinton Jones, businessman Vivian Reddy, influencer Kefilwe Mabote, TV personality and businesswoman Basetsana Kumalo, Mzwandile Masina and wife Sinazo, and Dr Anna Mokgokong.
Self-made billionaire Ngebulana is a lawyer, executive chairperson and sole owner of the multibillion-rand property company Billion Group. He was born and raised in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. He attributes his massive success to teachings he received from his granny.
He listed the Rebosis Property Fund in 2011, which became the first black-managed and substantially held property fund to be listed on the JSE. He told enterpreneur.com that he lives by the mantra, “from adversity comes success”.
If you foster good habits and are disciplined, driven, self-reliant and able to take accountability for your actions and decisions, you have a much higher chance of achieving your goals.

“My grandmother made us strong,” he said during the interview, explaining that “if you foster good habits and are disciplined, driven, self-reliant and able to take accountability for your actions and decisions, you have a much higher chance of achieving your goals”.
"‘You have two hands and two eyes,’ she’d say. ‘You’re blessed. Now go and use them.’
“She gave us the tools to make something of ourselves, but it was up to us to use them,” Dr Sisa said.
The power couple’s lavish overseas wedding included pre-wedding lunches for the bride and groom, a train trip, an opulent rehearsal dinner and, after the wedding, another two days at a hotel in Champagne Avenue in Epernay.
This is to be followed by a train trip to Paris to take a flight to Nice for a tour of the south of France. This included two nights in Cannes, a drive to Monte Carlo in Monaco with lunch en route in Nice, three nights in Monaco with a final dinner at the prestigious Hermitage hotel for final goodbyes.
The event will end with a final drive from Monaco to Nice for a direct flight home to OR Tambo on June 13.
The wedding invitation, seen by TimesLIVE Premium, included an additional offer from the couple.
“To those that would still want to stay with us can gladly join us in London for the week June 13 to 24. Please contact us privately if you would like to join us in London. The more the merrier. Looking forward to having you all.”
