EDITORIAL | It’s Eskom’s internal problems that need combating
If Eskom requires defence force protection, so be it, but it will not help solve the corruption issue

As the ANC’s elective conference got under way, Eskom announced the SA National Defence Force was being deployed at four power stations: Majuba, Camden, Grootvlei and Tutuka. It referred any further queries to the presidency or department of public enterprises. Presidential spokesperson Vincent Magwenya told Bloomberg news agency this was in response to the “growing threat of sabotage, theft, vandalism and corruption at Eskom power stations”. ..
