Join Fiona Melrose for a mahala intro to fiction writing evening in Melville! (March 4)
Acclaimed novelist Fiona Melrose will be presenting a free intro to fiction writing evening at Love Books on the fourth of March
Monday March 4th 6.00 - 7.30 pm
If this is the year you want to finally get started on your novel, or have stalled on an existing project, this is the evening for you.
We will be talking about how to get started with your novel, information on how a book gets from planning to publication and we will complete a short writing exercise so that you can get going on the novel you have always dreamed of writing.
This is a friendly, informal evening for you to bring your questions and get a feel for what the 7th Street Writers’ Studio offers.
The evening is facilitated by 7th Street’s Fiona Melrose.
IMPORTANT The event is free, but please let us know if you will be coming by contacting either firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
Fiona is the author of two novels. In the UK her debut, Midwinter was a Bailey’s Prize listed novel and was short-listed for the New Angle Prize.
In South Africa it was long- listed for the Sunday Times Barry Ronge Fiction Prize. Her second novel, Johannesburg, was again listed by the SA Sunday Times and was short-listed for the Royal Society of Literature Encore Award.
Her short stories have been dramatised for the BBC and she contributes to BBC Radio Four.
Next 7th Street INTRO to FICTION WRITING begins Tues 12 March for 6 weeks.
