Corporate tax is weak spot for SA revenue

South African corporate income tax is flagging compared with the other main revenue streams for the government, suggesting that business will remain unscathed as the National Treasury looks for ways to boost revenues to meet developmental needs in the face of tepid economic growth. Company tax remains the third-largest contributor to tax revenues after personal income tax and VAT , but its relative contribution has fallen from a peak of 26.
