The Fury, Honda's first factory chopper

Honda surprised many of us when it launched a factory chopper last year.

Honda's radical Fury is a chopper like no other. A quick peek at the 2012 Honda Fury's spec sheet reveals an identical bike to last year's offering.

Its pulse is provided by a 1312cc liquid-cooled 52-degree V-twin linked to a five-speed gearbox.

Not only is it easily the most distinctive custom that Honda has ever built, but it's comparable to one-off custom-house choppers costing ten times as much - except that it probably works and rides twice as well.

Long, lean and mean, stretching nearly 1.8m from axle to axle, this machine is a real head-turner - and once you settle into the saddle, turn the key and fire up that big 1312cc V-twin, you'll know this is the bike you've been dreaming about if you are a chopper fanatic.

There's no mistaking that the Fury is all about the way it looks, sounds and feels - and the way all these sensations make you feel when you're riding it.

But, like all Hondas, the Fury is also a showcase for fine engineering, boasting innovative features such as programmed fuel injection, custom cast wheels, specially designed shaft drive, and, of course, that monster 1312cc V-twin.

Call it the perfect marriage of style and substance.

Made with the same exacting standards as every Honda part, Honda Genuine Accessories allow you to make the Fury as unique as you are.

These include a front spoiler, sissy bar, smoked Boulevard screen, braided lines, and tons of custom covers. Low and Mean also has a great selection of aftermarket goodies for the Fury.

The 2012 Honda Fury is available in three colours - ultra blue metallic, matte black/red, and black.

I personally dig the matte black version with the frame highlighted in red.

Priced at R133999, the Fury comes with a two-year warranty and 6000km service intervals.
