A teenager has undergone the world's first penis reduction surgery, according to a report.

The Tampa Bay Times reports that Dr. Rafael Carrion, a urologist at the University of South Florida in Tampa, performed the surgery.

The teen's penis measured 7 inches in length, and had a circumference of 10 inches when flaccid. Surgeons described it as being shaped like an American football.

"Can you make my penis smaller?" he asked surgeons, as it was restricting his ability to play competitive sports or have sex.

"It sounds like a man's dream — a tremendously inflated phallus — but unfortunately although it was a generous length, its girth was just massive, especially around the middle," Carrion said.

According to Carrion the teen is very satisfied with his smaller penis.
