Former Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Doctor “16V” Khumalo and his wife Blanche are embroiled in a divorce which is set to turn ugly after details of their spilt hit the headlines over the weekend.
Khumalo and his wife Blanche have been sleeping apart for three years.
The couple’s big secret was revealed by Sunday Sun at the weekend. Their impending divorce was divulged about two months ago.
In a heart-to-heart interview with the tabloid, the Namibian-born Blanche revealed that she dumped Khumalo because they fell out of love, he was unwelcoming to her family and she felt like a prisoner in the marriage which lasted about eight years.
According to a family friend, Blanche once cried because Doctor literally spat on her face.
The friend said: “That was when Blanche knew it was all over.”
“I had asked him if my son could move in with us. He made it clear that he wouldn’t raise another man’s son. He got angry and spat in my face,"explained Blanche.
“There was no longer an emotional and sexual connection."
