The latest trailer for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film is finally here - and it's racked up 2 million views on YouTube in a couple of hours.

The hotly-anticipated DC Comics flick stars Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck as the titular superheroes. The trailer (which is the second one that's been released) is a three-minute ode to 'geek-love'.

Here are 10 things we noticed about the new trailer (scroll down to watch).

1) Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne don't like each other

The two meet at the beginning of the trailer, and you can feel the chill between them through the computer screen. They have a quick face-off about their respective alter egos: Kent makes it clear he thinks Batman's style of justice is too extreme, while Wayne refers to Superman as a "clown", pointing out that everyone is fawning over a man who could "burn the whole place down". Ooh, drama.

2) Bruce Wayne drives himself around

So Bruce Wayne rocks up at a swanky party with a smile (or grimace we're not sure) for the paparazzi driving all by his lonesome? No Alfred acting as chaffeur or even a bit of eye-candy on his arm? Maybe the trailer just cut that part out. Bruce has an image to maintain after all if he doesn't want to be confused with a scowling, costume-wearing vigilante (spoiler!). Ah well, ast least he drives a nice car.

3) Clark Kent has no idea who Bruce Wayne is

Clark doesn't have to know that Bruce likes to beat up criminals in his spare time, but we're a bit worried about his skills as a reporter if he doesn't know who multi-billionaire, playboy Bruce Wayne is - especially when he's reporting from an event in Gotham of all places. He even goes as far as asking Bruce about his opinion on the Dark Knight. Bruce's response... just the tiniest of smiles.

4) Doomsday!

Hold your breath ladies and gentlemen the creature that 'killed' (yes you read that right) Superman in the comics is making an appearance as the big-bad villain in this piece. While it's doubtful Superman will actually be killed in the first team-up movie with Batman, you never know....

5) Wait, Lex Luthor has hair?

This budding supervillian might have hair but we're sure Jesse Eisenberg will sport a stylish bald look by the end of the movie. Also Jesse as Lex? We're thinking they made a good call on this one.

6) Wonder Woman is here to save the day

Or is she? One of the biggest female superheroes (if not the biggest) finally joins this superhero craze. She's played by Gal Gadot (she was in Fast and the Furious 6) and she shows up at the end of the trailer, surprising both Batman and Superman.

We hope her role in the film is more than that of a cheerleader or side kick - and please, let's hope she doesn't become anyone's love interest.

7) Ben Affleck doesn't suck as much as we thought he would

Listen, when Christian Bale was cast as Batman a decade ago, a lot of people weren't convinced. But it seems like Affleck has received an even more hostile reception. But if the trailer is anything to go by, he'll make a great Bruce Wayne - we're not sure about his Batman just yet.

8) Superman makes Batman look like a Teletubby

Seriously, did you notice what a badass Superman is in this trailer? That clip where he pulls Batman's mask off makes you glad you're not in trouble with him. Look at that facial expression:

This is not the Superman of Christopher Reeve: this is the same Superman who, gasp, killed someone.

9) Batman has... a gun?

Okay, we're a little surprised by this development. Batman wielding a gun is bit a like Superman killing someone - basically all but unheard of in the DC 'verse. Batman hates guns.

Maybe it's a special kryptonite firing weapon designed especially for Superman? We hope so because the Dark Knight has enough gadgets at his disposal without stooping to a mere firearm.

10) The latest Captain America trailer is better, though

Yes, we said it. Batman v Superman's biggest box office competition for 2016 has released a new trailer - and it's amazing. In all fairness, this is supposed to be the biggest Captain America movie so far.

The trailer is dramatic, it's action-packed, it has heart and it features Iron Man facing off with the Captain. Sorry boys - Marvel wins the trailer competiion this time around.
