X-rays in the cloud a symbol of the future‚ says Makhura

Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital has rolled out a new IT system to ensure all digital X-rays‚ MRI and CAT scans are kept in the digital cloud.It was launched on Wednesday morning by Gauteng Premier David Makhura and MEC for health Quedani Mahlangu.The system will save time wasted printing X-rays‚ which will in turn cut patients’ waiting times‚ as well as allow doctors to view X-rays from anywhere in the hospital on their iPads.
