A year without a new season of Game of Thrones would be like a year without Christmas - for me at least. What are we going to look forward to when the show is done for good?
Season 7 is going to be only seven episodes instead of 10 so we'll have to make the best of it.
The set piece last season was without doubt the battle between the resurrected Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton for control of the North, which concluded with Jon's victory, after which he was named King in the North by the reunited northern houses and his Wildling allies.
With Snow is his sister Sansa, who has suffered through many tribulations. It'll be interesting to see what happens when their interests finally collide with those of Daenerys Targeryn. Will she want the northern half of her kingdom back - assuming she's able to defeat the Lannisters in King's Landing?..
