The notion that brilliant photography needs to be shot on fancy cameras with outrageous lenses and multiple apertures is finally at rest.

The IPPAWARDS, or iPhone Photography Awards, prove that the simple smartphone is capable of poetry, documentary and visual excellence.

The 2017 crop of winners, drawn from submissions from all corners of the world, show how a small device can create huge visual impact.
