What I'm watching: Kagiso Lediga, actor & comedian

As comfortable in front of the camera as he is behind it, Kagiso Lediga's many talents include writing and directing. Here's which shows he finds addictive

The first show I binge-watched was ... The Wire. It was on DVD and bootleg mp4, before we could stream anything. It was the best TV show ever made.
The shows I have to watch every week are: Atlanta, Billions, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty, Master of None (which I binge) and my guilty pleasure, Ballers. Then there are shows I'm keeping for later, like: Bojack Horseman season 4, Insecure season 2, Narcos 3, Twin Peaks, and I'm waiting for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9.
Though South Africa is still a small market for the streaming giants, there is definitely interest. That's bound to take the local scene to awesome levels. Local film has become very exciting recently but local streaming efforts have been ultra sluggish - there's nothing on Showmax that I can't get anywhere else on the Interwebs.
Areas of representation that haven't been addressed in series yet? Black, transgender space operas - there's a big shortage there.
I'm excited about the release, early next year, of my two films: Catching Feelings, which had its world premiere at the LA Film Festival this year, and Matwetwe - a very cool flick - which just had a world premiere at this year's Fantastic Fest...
