In the past six weeks, the Sunday Times received thousands of entries for this year's Finders Keepers competition, which delighted and confounded readers across the country.

This year’s quest — a joint effort between the Sunday Times and sponsors SPAR — used rhyming clues to guide our readers on a virtual journey around South Africa. Each week's answers were hidden in a stunning illustration – all produced by advertising agency Fairly Famous.

We spent weeks driving the routes to see what was out there, and rediscovered some amazing things. We hope you enjoyed the journey with us, and that you'll take some time on your next trip through South Africa to explore the sights and attractions we included.

Some of the clues were easy to solve, while others were quite tricky. Some readers even phoned the Sunday Times to ask for help, which of course we could not provide while the competition was still running!

This year's Finders Keepers champion

Our grand prize winner is Amy Lloyd, who walks away with R700,000 for getting all the answers right for all six weeks.
