The poster child for humanity: novel art exhibit hits Jozi

The Tolerance Travelling Poster Show has travelled across the world and has now arrived in South Africa

A travelling exhibition that has shown in shopping malls, plazas and parks across the globe is currently in South Africa.The Tolerance Travelling Poster Show has been to countries including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Spain, Croatia and the United Kingdom, and will soon be in Finland and Russia.So what is it about? Artists from across the globe creating posters that, as the press release states, "spread a simple message of humanity".
Led by former New York Times art director, Bosnian designer and comic artist Mirko Ilic, the Tolerance exhibition includes works by South African graphic designers Brandt Botes and Garth Walker.
The exhibition has been brought to South Africa by Design Indaba, and is on at Constitution Hill in Johannesburg until July 31.
