Popular Showmax and 15GB free Vodacom data deal extended

There are many ways to sign up to Showmax and start watching thousands of local and international shows. And the great news is that the special deal for Vodacom customers has been extended.

Until the end of February 2019, Vodacom prepaid and contract customers who sign up to Showmax will get a three-month free trial, plus 15GB of free Showmax data. That means every month for three months, subscribers who’ve added Showmax to their Vodacom bill will get 5GB of data to use for streaming awesome series and movies on Showmax. On the lowest data usage setting on the Showmax app for phones and tablets, that’s a total of 45 hours or more of streaming that won’t cost you a cent.

Plus, there are no strings attached: once the three months’ free subscription to Showmax is up, Vodacom customers will pay R49 per month for the following nine months. There’s no contract or lock-in period; you can cancel at any time.

What to watch

So, once you’ve subscribed, what should you watch? Everyone’s talking about Showmax’s first original drama series, The Girl From St Agnes. When a girl dies at a prestigious boarding school in the KZN Midlands, the big question is: did she fall, or was she murdered? It’s an intricate mystery that will have you addicted from start to finish.

If you prefer all the lols, check out the first ever Showmax Original, Tali’s Wedding Diary, starring Suzelle DIY herself, Julia Anastasopoulos. The end of February will see the debut of Showmax’s first original travel series, Trippin with Skhumba. It’s a wild ride around SA starring the hilarious Skhumba and a cara-cara load of comedians.

If you add Showmax to your Vodacom bill today, you’ll still be well within your three-month free trial on March 12, which is when the Comedy Central Roast of AKA hits Showmax. This is the only place you’ll find the 100-percent fiery uncut, uncensored version.
