BAD VEGAN

In the 2000s Sarma Melngailis was the hottest raw food restauranteur in New York, the subject of glitzy magazine profiles and host to adoring health-food chugging celebrities from Owen Wilson to Alec Baldwin. Then she met a mysterious Iraq war vet online who married her, took over her world with his toxic madness and turned it into a hell of fraud, reincarnated dogs and life on the run from authorities. This is her story, told by Melngailis and the people around her who watched it all go so terribly and macabrely wrong.

WU TANG: AN AMERICAN SAGA

The Wu-Tang Clan are notoriously “nothing to f***k with” and one of hip-hops most acclaimed and successful outfits. Once, long ago in the crack-infested, dangerous streets of 1990s Staten Island, they were a group of disparate young men struggling with the harsh realities of life for urban black youth in the US who only had their love for music and their talents to offer them a hope of escape. This, in all its gritty and grimy detail, is the dramatisation of their extraordinary story.
