Ndumiso Lindi — known as Roosta to his friends and the gentleman of South African comedy more widely — recently took to the stage again as the host of Keeping up with the Xhosaz, a comedy show which brings together a mix of local talent to debunk, explore and laugh at the stereotypes around Xhosa people — or the “Kardashians of the southern tribe” who are often stereotyped as being fake, obsessed with money, dramatic and snobbish, as Lindi says.
