Green Cross has seriously upped their style game

Local fashion meets local shoe design in Green Cross's runway collaboration with South African fashion brands Ephymol and De Mil.
At the recent SA Fashion Week Men's shows, models walked the runway in Green Cross's Winter 2018 Urban Style collection - a defining moment for the brand, which is transforming its comfortable footwear into a serious fashion statement with new luxe materials and fresh contemporary styles.
Green Cross has been manufacturing its classic, quality leather shoes from Cape Town for 42 years and is now turning its hand to support local design talent.
"We couldn't have asked for two more amazing designers to work with and their shows were proof of their incredible talent. I don't think in the history of fashion week, any model has walked the catwalks in such style and comfort," said a Green Cross representative.
The Green Cross marketing team set out to find two designers who would reimagine the Green Cross men's footwear collections. Based on past SAFW collections, they selected Ephymol for his classic looks with an iconic edge, and De Mil for his conceptual approach.
"It's a beautiful synergy between wool and leather, and everything is about comfortability, from the clothing, right down to the shoes," said designer Ephraim Molingoane of Ephymol.
"Their cork sandals work perfectly with our clothing. They have an organic feel and look that we love," said Coenraad De Mol of De Mil...
