What was your favourite show at South African Fashion Week (SAFW)?
The Woolworths STYLEBYSA show was my favourite.
Who was your favourite designer this season?
Rich Mnisi. He is always up for a new challenge and is a designer who knows what he wants.
What qualities do you think make a great model?
A model who gives his or her best for each job regardless of which designer they are working with or what their payment is - that is a passionate model. Passion for work and goals set for achievement will push people to be extraordinary.
Which model do you find most inspiring?
I love and respect the work all models in the industry are doing. I look up to many of them but I never joined the industry to be like them. My inspiration comes from different powerful women of colour, like Beyoncé. Her performances inspire me and I want to be able to give out the same positivity and energy in my work.
Which beauty looks from SAFW were your favourite?
All the metallic eye looks were magical. (Find out how to recreate the 'Futuristic Tribal' and 'Gilded out' beauty looks from SAFW.)Any beauty tips for preparing for a shoot?
With me it's just skin, skin and skin. I always make sure that my skin is as clear and glowing as possible. The make-up artist can fix your nails and hair but no one can fix bad skin. After a hectic day I steam my face with warm water for 20 minutes. I then dry my face, after which I put ice on my skin to cool it down. Last, I apply Vaseline.
Beauty tips you've learn't from make-up artists backstage or on set?
Never apply makeup on dirty skin. Make-up artists backstage always make sure our skin is clean before putting on makeup.
How does your beauty routine change when you're travelling?
My skin-care routine changes from just cleansing to cleansing, toning and masking.
Three beauty essentials you can't live without?
First is my cleansing soap, which is Clean & Clear. Second is my spine brush. Finally, I can't go without my Vaseline Cocoa Glow.
Favourite fragrance?
Valentina EDP. It makes me feel confident all day. Also it's affordable and easy to find in all our local stores...
