THE TREND: WET HAIR
The wet hair trend has always been reminiscent of cool dips in the ocean and air-dried hair left to its own devices. Whether hair is lacquered down from crown to ends, as seen at Jason Wu SS18, or has dual texture with half the hair slicked back and the rest left dry at Victoria Beckham SS19 - anything goes.
At the Veronica Beard SS19 show, hair mixed business with pleasure as the wet look showcased a more structured texture that still felt easy.
"The look is inspired by a young lady who just returned from a tropical island vacation and is back in the concrete jungle; she's strong and confident with that vacation glow," says Kevin Hughes, Moroccanoil Artistic Director.

THE HAIR
This polished take on the wet hair trend as seen at the Veronica Beard SS19 show creates a contrast between structure and wavy texture that still has movement.
Follow these steps: Dampen the hair and run a heat-protecting primer through to prep the lengths and ends.
Working from the bottom to the top of the head, slowly section the hair and apply a styling mousse.
Use a diffuser and scrunch the hair ends in an upward motion to create a wavy texture. If your hair is naturally curly, enhance your texture by adding a curl-defining styling cream.
Run a wide-toothed comb from the front of the hair to the mid lengths and secure tiny sections of hair with clips until they form a hair band-like formation.
Spritz the front of the hair with a strong-hold spray and wait a few minutes until the hair is dry before removing the hair clips to reveal sleek texture in the front. THE FACE
Glowing, dewy skin with minimal makeup spells "holiday beauty", so now is the time to focus on perfecting your canvas.
Follow these steps: Prep skin with a primer to ensure that any product you place on your skin doesn't slip with the heat. Use a tinted moisturiser or 1 to 2 pumps of foundation and mix with a liquid highlighter.
Apply to the face, either buffing with a dual fibre brush or using your hands until the coverage looks sheer and natural.
Enhance the glow by tapping in more liquid highlighter onto the high planes of the face such as the cheekbones, temples, bridge of the nose and brow bone.
Use any leftover highlighter and tap it onto the eyelids instead of applying eyeshadow.
Groom the brows into place by brushing in a tinted brow gel and finish off with a pop of colour on the lips. THE KIT
