Lip lacquers and gloss, though more nourishing and hydrating in winter, do have a bad reputation for being sticky and not long-lasting.

If you want to boost your favourite lip gloss' staying power, follow these simple steps when applying it:

Step 1: Moisturise your lips with a balm; allow some time for the product to be absorbed.

Step 2: Prep your lips with a light application of foundation or concealer. This will help to create a solid base for the gloss for slip-free application and staying power.

Step 3: Apply the lip gloss.

Step 4: Lightly dust some loose powder over the lip gloss to help the gloss feel less sticky on the lips. But make sure to not apply too much powder, or the formula will form clump.
