3. Use a hairdryer with the nozzle flat against the head, and work in the direction of the hair shaft, not against it, to avoid creating frizz.
4. Gather all the hair into a high ponytail and fasten with a hair elastic. Make sure that there are no bumps or pieces of hair sticking out.
5.If there are still flyaway hairs along the hair line or any unwanted baby hair, use a toothbrush or small hair brush with medium-hold spray spritzed into the bristles. Brush the hairs down until smooth.
6. Section the ponytail into small to medium pieces and twist each piece until it is
tight enough, then start wrapping the twist and secure with bobby pin. You want your wrapped-up piece to resemble a small knotted bread bun. Continue until the whole ponytail has been pinned up into a bun.
7. Create a vinyl shine by warming a few drops of dry hair oil between the palms and smoothing over the hair, or slick a small amount of hair gel.
8. Finish off with a spritz of glimmer shine spray to give the hair a glossy and light reflective lustre. As an optional step, add a few sprays of a scented hair mist.

THE TREND: BOULANGERIE HAIR BUNS
Look no further than your local pâtisserie to find the source of inspiration for 2020's new do.
Spotted at Fendi and Badgley Mischka, the pageant-like updo has made a comeback in the form of pieces of hair twisted, woven and piled high on the crown of the head like delicate pieces of pastry or glossy knotted bread.
In a Vogue article, Sam McKnight, the hairstylist behind the hair look at Fendi, elaborated: "We ended up looking at pictures of pastries … braided loaves, cinnamon buns, and pretzels - and not literally, but just as an inspiration. We wanted to take the bun a bit further and have fun with the bun!"
WEAR WITH: UPSIDE-DOWN ACCESSORISES
The runways saw another trend of the unconventional kind that caught the eye - the upside-down headband. Yes, that's no typo; the headband trend has taken a turn for the dramatic and the new way to wear it is backwards.
Go for rich velvet or satin braided headband styles. And wear it resting on the nape of the neck to give us the thinking-outside-of-the-box beauty we didn't even know we needed.

HOW TO GET THE LOOK
The key to recreating this hair trend is to keep hair super glossy, sleek and without any flyaways in sight. Simply follow these steps:
1. Start by working with damp hair; either freshly washed or dampened with a water spray bottle.
2. Work a few drops of dry hair oil - or an anti-frizz serum if you have curly hair - into the strands. Add a heat protectant spray before working with heat styling tools to aid in smoothing out hair texture.
