THE WHOLESOME TAKE OUTS
Three Now Now fast-food cafes have opened in CT and there are plans for others around the country. Order one of their pots of delicious, super-healthy breakfast or lunch options and you'll have them in hand in split seconds.
My favourite is the peri chicken pot with peri-peri sauce, sour cream dressing, toasted almonds & parsley, which comes with creamy cauliflower mash. There's even an app that allows you to pre-order.

THE YOUNG GUNS
It's the Andile show over at Melville's 27 Boxes. Andile Dlamini is a chef, Andile Tobo has a background in farming. The two youngsters have joined forces to use their collective powers for good and launched The Farmer's Boutique.
Their store sells fruit and veg, largely sourced from small-scale farmers around JHB. They've got everything from fresh turmeric root to kale and beautiful tomatoes.
They also do smoothies and salads that you can order on UberEATS.

If mornings are not your thing but good health is foremost in your mind, you need Blendid smoothies in your life.
Tyron Sharnock's Joburg start-up delivers frozen portions of smoothie mix to your door and all it takes is adding the mix and a liquid to a blender and voila, it's that easy.
Spinach and greens never tasted as good as in the Sexy Skin smoothie combo; it's like a dessert.

THE CORNER GROCER
Grab a straw basket at the door and start to browse the shelves at Linden's Farm Table and you'll feel like you've instantly made huge strides in your own green revolution.
The store sells organic local products - outstanding Boomplaats beef, Verlorenkloof yoghurt and the totally morish kale chips from Shaz's Kale Kitchen. It also does pantry goods like the excellent Scully's gluten-free rusks, organic beauty items and cleaning products.
