Making your own nutritious snack bars couldn't be any easier

Makes: 8 - 10 bars

Ingredients:

250g dried dates, chopped

125ml (½ cup) sugar- and salt-free smooth peanut butter

125ml (½ cup) rolled oats

125ml (½ cup) mixed seeds

Method:

  1. Put the dates in a food processor and pulse to form a rough paste.
  2. Add the peanut butter and mix till blended.
  3. Add the oats and seeds and mix well.
  4. Press the mixture into a lined 20cm square tin and refrigerate for a few hours until firm. Cut into bars and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
