Flex your creative muscles and add a custom touch to your home by tackling one of these easy DIY projects this weekend. We'll show you how to make a trendy hanging planter, stylish storage shelf and oh-so-funky soap dish

PROJECT 1: FASHION A HANGING PLANTER FROM PLASTIC CUPS

Don't chuck your plastic beer cups after sports matches. Instead repurpose them into a cool hanging planter (pictured above). All you need is some washing line rope, a drill and drill bit, and some plants. Try this easy DIY project.

Want to de-clutter some of your cupboards? This dual purpose shelf allows you to stash bits and bobs in mason jars while still providing a sturdy platform on which to display ornaments, plants, books, or anything else really. Try this easy DIY project.

PROJECT 3: MAKE A QUIRKY SOAP DISH
